Conflicts aren’t a problem if both people are behaving civilly and professionally. They only become a problem if one or both parties start behaving inappropriately. The problem then isn’t conflict resolution. It’s inappropriate behavior.

When a child is called names in school, we call it bullying. When an adult is called names in the workplace, we call it harassment.
How long does it take? Well, are you dealing with someone who is in control of their behavior or not? If they are, a few days to a few weeks tops. If they aren’t, it can take longer.
